Wondrous Words Wednesday

May 15, 2019

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme where you can share new words that you’ve encountered or spotlight words you love.  Feel free to get creative!   If you want to play along, grab the button, write a post and come back and add your link to Mr. Linky!

This week’s word is from RUFF JUSTICE by Laurien Berenson

1. typey – “In the breed ring, a judge is looking for a sound, typey dog with correct confirmation.”

To me, this sounded like one of those made up words we all use, so I decided to look it up.  It turns out it’s a real word that means characterized by strict conformance to type.

Interesting. Haven’t come across this one – and I watch the major dog shows. I must not be listening close enough.

I will not demean myself by commenting on this word…okay, I had no idea, although it makes sense.

I watch the dog shows on tv so I’m sure I’ve heard the word, I don’t remember it though.

I’ll never forget challenging “glint” in a game of Scrabble. I still say it doesn’t sound like a real word.
