We Remember

Virginia Tech April 16 memorialA dozen years ago today, a gunman opened fire on the campus of Virginia Tech, killing 32 people and forever changing countless others.  I’ve shed many tears as I’ve recalled this day through the years – our son was a student at Tech at the time and I will never forget the fear I felt that day.  It’s a fear I wish no other person has to feel.  I can’t understand why we can’t find a solution to these heartbreaking shootings.  Lest we forget, the 32 who lost their lives that day are:

    Senseless gun tragedies need to stop! As we remember, perhaps those in charge could start making changes! Thanks for sharing.

    And with the 20th anniversary of Columbine coming up, this is a timely post. It breaks my heart every time and I also wonder why nothing has been done.

    It’s still heartbreaking. Especially since we have not progressed at all in banning automatic weapons.
