Wondrous Words Wednesday

May 23, 2018

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme where you can share new words that you’ve encountered or spotlight words you love.  Feel free to get creative!   If you want to play along, grab the button, write a post and come back and add your link to Mr. Linky!

This week’s word is from an advanced copy of BEACH HOUSE REUNION by Mary Alice Monroe.

1. perspicacious – “Perspicacious as usual, she thought, and leaned back into his strength.”

Perspicacious is an adjective that means having a ready insight into and understanding of things.

This one I knew. My father, who never talked down to us, used this word when I was young. I never forgot its meaning.
