I found this word in an uncorrected galley of CRASH TEST GIRL by Kari Byron.
1. anosmic – “It’s also anosmic.”
Anosmic is a noun that means absence or loss of the sense of smell.

Pretty word
Very interesting word.
I came across that word when I was reading some neuroscience about the sense of smell, which is the least-understood of the senses. A very interesting concept as it affects its victims in unexpected ways. I am very surprised to see someone call it a “pretty word” !

I would never have guessed this word. Interestingly, I have an aunt who is anosmic.
Yet another new word for me!
That’s new to me too. It’s one sense I hope I don’t lose as I age. A couple of the others are fading.
