I found several words in an uncorrected proof of A FALSE REPORT by T. Christian Miller and Ken Armstrong.
1. sybaritic – “Jabba — an enormous, sybaritic grub — loons on a platform, surrounded by slaves, halflings, and aliens.”
Sybaritic is an adjective that means fond of sensuous luxury or pleasure; self-indulgent.

2. grimoire – “He consulted The Magus, a nineteenth-century grimoire on Kabbalah, the influence of the planets, and the natural magic of unctions, amulets, charms.”
I suspect fantasy readers will know this one. A grimoire is textbook of magic.

3. jeremiad – “Then, without preamble, O’Leary launched into a jeremiad.”
Jeremiad is a noun and means a long, mournful complaint or lamentation; a list of woes.
