Since he knows I like trivia, Lloyd told me about a site called Trivia Today that will email you questions daily. I’ve had fun with the questions and have learned a thing or two. A recent question included a new word in it.
1. hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia – “Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is fear of what number?”
What a mouthful! Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia is the fear of the number 666. I found this video on how to pronounce it but would love to hear a human voice say it.

What words do you want to celebrate today?
I’m guessing no one has ever used it in conversation, ha.
Quite a mouthful!
See. Isn’t Trivia Today fun?
HA! … what Mary said.
Love it! I’m going to see if my son, who is a wiz with reading and numbers, has ever heard of this word. Thanks!
A word very rarely used.
All things holy that is a mouthful
Hard to say, and hard to spell! The 3 hexes are the way I will (try to) remember it. 🙂
I have hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia. Worst number there is!
I wonder if that word has been in a spelling bee?
What a great word you found Kathy! I’m not sure it’s going to fit my mouth, however.
You can’t view my Wondrous Words post today because my blog is having technical difficulties. My administrator is working on it. I hope it doesn’t last as long as Carl’s technical problems.
Wow!!! That’s quite the new word. I learned something new today as well from you.
Too funny! The multiple “hexs” were kind of a clue!
