Mailbox Monday August 8

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and now hosted on its own blog.   Last week was quiet and uneventful and I consider that a good thing.  It’s hotter than heck here but, thankfully, we’re supposed to see cooler temperatures this week.  I found these goodies in my mailbox:

What did you find in your mailbox last week?

Holy cow! That’s a big stack. 🙂 Only one new book in my house this week (Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult), which is fine. I’m still trying to read from my older stacks, so I don’t mind.

Hope you get some cooler weather. We were in the mid-70s this weekend, after several weeks of heat and humidity. It was glorious!

To the Bright Edge of the World sounds great… need to read that one soon!

I am so jealous of the Eowyn Ivey! I am going to listen to it on audio as soon as I finish my current listen!

The only one of those authors that I’ve read is Eowyn Ivey. We had The Snow Child for a book club. It was okay.

Wow! Nice mailbox! The Lesser Bohemians sounds like something I would like very much. Adding it to my wish list.

I haven’t heard of any of these. There are just so many books being published that I feel like can’t keep up even in my own little niche.

I loved the The Dollanganger series by VC Andrews. I haven’t read her books in many years,

I was so glad to see a rainy day today. After all the heat, this is welcome.

Enjoy your books – I have been seeing good things about To the Bright Edge of the World.

Quite the stack, but the one I’m interested in is 101 Reasons to Not Take A Bath. I’ll be anxious to hear how it is. It might be a good one to give to my nieces!

That is quite a stack! Print books take me longer to read so I am preferring ebook and audio. Sort of surprised to see V.C. Andrews still around. Enjoy all of your reading!
