Mailbox Monday
July 25, 2016
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and now hosted on its own blog. Another week has flown by and, to be honest, as I sit and type this, I’m not even sure what I did except try to stay cool – it’s still hot as blazes here. I found these goodies in my mailbox:
Monday
- Poor Your Soul by Mira Ptacin came from Soho Press
Tuesday
- It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover came from Simon & Schuster
Wednesday
- Carousel Court by Joe McGinniss, Jr. came from Simon & Schuster
- With Love From the Inside by Angela Pisel came from Penguin Random House
- Two Across by Jeff Bartsch came from Hachette
Thursday
- My Name Is Leon by Kit de Waal came from Simon & Schuster
Friday
- The Velvet Hours by Alyson Richman came from Tandem Literary
- Highway to Hell: Can YOU Survive the Zombie Apocalypse? by Max Brallier came from Simon & Schuster
What did you find in your mailbox last week?

I found plenty to keep me busy. Sadly, reading wasn’t one of them. Hoping to change that this week. We’ve been in the heat wave too – yuck. I’m looking forward to The Velvet Hours.
It’s been super hot here, too, although it was nice to see the temperature below 80 when I woke up this morning!
I haven’t read any books by any of the authors in your stack, so I’ll be eager to hear how you like them. I got one new ARC (by Ann Patchett) last week. I wrote about it here.
Have a good week and stay cool, Kathy!
Lovely books!
So many great books in your mailbox, Kathy! I spotted Hoover’s latest on another blog too. I read two of her books and loved them. Enjoy your new books. 🙂
What a great stack of books! I am definitely eager to get It Ends with Us. Enjoy them all, and thanks for visiting my blog. Stay cool! I will try to do the same, as it will be triple digits again this week.
I can’t wait to read The Velvet Hours. Enjoy your new books!
I’m glad my books are digital; if they were all physical, I would be sleeping on top of them. Hope you enjoy your haul.
I wanted The Velvet Hours but got denied by Netgalley. I need to track it down somewhere else. Enjoy! 2 Kids and Tired Books MM
The Velvet Hours looks good. I saw it on a giveaway, but the time had run out when I finally got to it.
ENJOY all of your books and your reading week.
Elizabeth
These are all new to me. My book mail has slowed a bit recently, which is a good thing as I can’t keep up. It’s hot and humid here too….so awful.
More books to add to my wish list. 🙂 Pour Your Soul sounds really good especially.
I always love seeing what you got in your mailbox. It’s always a great selection!
I hope you enjoy all your books!
Everyone seems to have the velvet hours
Happy reading 😀
Great bunch of books.Happy reading.
You received great books this week! I haven’t read any of them or other books by the authors. I’ll be looking forward to your reviews.
You always have a great looking haul! Enjoy!
Hot is all over! We hope to cool down about 10 degrees this week. Looking forward to the Colleen Hoover book.
They are saying it will get cooler after a couple of days. I cannot wait!! The past few weeks have been too hot!
A great selection! And I see many new to me books there, I have to look them up. Have a nice week, hope it gets cooler where you are!
The Velvet Hours was in my mailbox too. The rest are new to me.
It’s been hot as blazes here too. Jason said it felt as hot and heavy as South Carolina when he played tennis over the weekend 🙂
Looks like a lot of great books. My Name is Leon and The Velvet Hours need to go on my wish lists. Thanks for visiting The Busy Mom’s Daily.
You’ve been getting a ton of great books! We had a few in common this week!
