Mailbox Monday July 11

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and now hosted on its own blog.   What a sad week for the U. S.  When I think back on last week’s events, posting about the books I got seems rather silly, but I guess life has to go on.   I found these goodies in my mailbox last week:

What did you find in your mailbox last week?

Ooooh – I’m salivating over your Maria Semple!! I’ve been checking Netgalley repeatedly seeing if it pops up and it hasn’t so far. But, maybe it’s time to check again since galleys have gone out.

You’ve got a great variety of books. I wonder if Semple’s latest will live up to her first title. Enjoy your reading week!

Maria Semple’s new book should be having a lot of expectations now! I never read her first one (and didn’t see many good reviews of that) but Bernadette was obviously a huge hit. Can’t wait to see what this one will be like.

    Hi Kathy,

I was not too sure that any of your selection this week would be first choices for my TBR pile – that is until I checked out ‘Today Will Be Different’. The cover caught my eye first and the more of the premise I read, the more I found myself relating to the storyline. So many of the previous commenters had obviously already read and enjoyed books by Maria Semple and that many people just can’t be wrong 🙂

Thanks for sharing and enjoy your reading week 🙂

I am so looking forward to reading the new Maria Semple, and so I’m very excited about seeing Today Will be Different on your pile! I hope you enjoy it, and all your books. Maybe they’ll provide a good distraction after this sad, sad week.
