Mailbox Monday
May 2, 2016
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and now hosted on its own blog. I’m out of town for a re-check of my right eye today. I’ve been dreading this appointment because I know they’re going to want to schedule surgery on my left eye, and I’m hoping to postpone it since the recovery of my right eye was tougher than I expected. I found these goodies in my mailbox last week:
Monday
- The Summer of Me by Angela Benson came from Harper Collins
Wednesday
- A Different Kind of Daughter: The Girl Who Hid from the Taliban in Plain Sight by Maria Toorpakai came from Twelve Books
- Fodor’s Travel The Complete Guide to The National Parks of the West came from Big Honcho Media
- Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library by Chris Grabenstein came from Big Honcho Media
- The Fourteenth Goldfish by Jennifer L. Holm came from Big Honcho Media
- The Call of the Wild by Jack London came from Big Honcho Media
Thursday
- The Bridge Ladies by Betsy Lerner came from Harper Collins

Hope everything goes well for you today.
The Summer of Me looks great. I could use some warm weather 😉
Sorry to hear that your recovery took so long! I your appointment goes well today.
I’ve never played Bridge, but The Bridge Ladies sounds intriguing! And a book about National Parks makes my feet itchy to get out on the road and travel! 🙂

A Different Kind of Daughter sounds interesting. I hope your appointment goes well.
I hope all goes well.
I remember reading The Call of the Wild when I was in high school. It’s a great classic. I think I will read it to my son. I’ve been searching for a good book that he’d enjoy (he’s such a picky reader). Enjoy your stash!
A DIFFERENT KIND OF DAUGHTER looks terrific!
Wishing you all the best with the eye issues, Kathy. Hopefully the next procedure will have a much easier recovery than the first.
We had Mr. Lemoncello’s Library as the choice for our One Book, One School novel last year. And, it was on the Bluestem list for best books in Illinois, so it was fun to see it in your stack.
Good luck at your appointment.
Looks like a great stack of books. Enjoy!
I wish you good luck with your eye appointment. A full mailbox for you.
