At the movies: The Intern

The Intern movie poster

Widower Ben Whittaker is lonely and feeling at a loss when he notices a flyer for senior interns.  He decides to apply and finds himself interning at a hip online clothing company.  His knowledge and experience bring a lot to the company and its employees.

The Intern, starring Anne Hathaway and Robert DeNiro, was a breath of fresh air!  It’s smart and funny and has a great message.  It tells a fun story without offensive language or scenes.  The casting was perfect as well.  In case you can’t tell, I loved this movie and for the first time in a long time the audience clapped at the end when I saw it.

I think this movie will appeal to a more mature audience the most but everyone can benefit from it’s message.

Glad to hear you liked this one so much. I wanted to see it, but we had to see Bridge of Spies and The Martian first, and in the meantime it left our local theater.
