Mailbox Monday
July 13, 2015
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued, and now hosted on its own blog. Whew, last week was so busy! The store had its three year anniversary on Saturday and most of the week was spent working on that. The event went well and we’re all exhausted now, but it’s a good exhausted, if that makes sense. I found these books in my mailbox last week:
Monday
- Kitchens of the Great Midwest by J. Ryan Stradal came from Penguin Random House
- The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes came from Penguin Random House
- Diane von Furstenberg: A Life Unwrapped by Gioia Diliberto came from Harper Collins
- Girl in the Woods by Aspen Matis came from Harper Collins
- Paper Towns by John Green + buttons came from Big Honcho Media
Wednesday
- The Witches: Salem 1692 by Stacy Schiff came from Hachette
Thursday
- A Window Opens by Elisabeth Egan came from Simon & Schuster
What did you find in your mailbox last week?

I’ve read The woman who stole my life. Quite an unusual chick-lit, I liked it but was not completely wowed by it.
Love the Paper Towns buttons! The spine of the Marian Keyes is gorgeous.
The Girl loved Paper Towns. Happy reading and congrats on three years!
Congratulations on your store’s 3-year-anniversary! Times flies, doesn’t it?!
I am eager to try another John Green novel since I really enjoyed The Fault in Our Stars. Paper Towns is high on my list and I especially want to get it read before I see the movie.
Have a great week, Kathy! Hope it isn’t too hot where you are.
You have some big bold beautiful books there!
I’ve had my eye on Kitchens of the Midwest!
All new to me. Enjoy all your reads and have a good week.
I’ve heard good things about Kitchens of the Great Midwest and might pick it up if I get some time.
A good exhausted is wonderful. Happy Anniversary! Enjoy your new books!
Has it been 3 years already kathy? Wow I am so happy that things are going so well for you guys. Looks like you had a good mail box week and some great titles..enjoy 🙂
I need to read my copy of Paper Towns soon, since the movie will be here before we know it!
I am ogling A Window Opens.
Congrats on your three years! Time sure flies, doesn’t it?
Thanks for visiting my blog, and I loved your comment about the beer…the local ale is a far cry from their normal fare, but they felt a bit nostalgic for the “stuff” from around here. Plus, that ale was the best the pizza place had…LOL.
Happy Anniversary! I’m glad it was a good time. It looks like you received a nice collection this week- how fun to receive those buttons. I hope you enjoy all of your books and have a great week.
I’ve been seeing ‘The Witches’ around lately and it sounds right up my alley. Have a great week!
What a great pile of books! I am coveting the Keyes and The Witches – they sound so good! I didn’t care for the Green novel – it was my least favorite of his. Enjoy your new books!
Happy reading
Congratulations on three years in business!! I still need to read John Green.
Congratulations on your three year anniversary! I got Witches last week too and I picked up Kitchens of the Great Midwest at BEA and I’m looking forward to reading both of them.

The Witches sounds very good. I have her Cleopatra book but haven’t read it yet. Happy reading!
Paper Towns is on my list and Kitchens of the Great Midwest just joined it.
I should probably read Paper Towns. The movie doesnt really appeal to me but the book might.

Jealous of Kitchens of the Great Midwest. I’m really eager to hear how that one is! I need to try another John Green book. I’ve only read The Fault in Our Stars.

The books all look good but The Witches really caught my eye.
Fantastic book week — I read the bottom two in your pile and enjoyed them.
Wow, 3 years!!! Congratulations 🙂 I listened to Paper Towns audio and didn’t love it so I’m not sure about the movie.
The Witches! I really want to read that one. Happy third anniversary to the store, by the way!
