Review: Lola and Tattletale Zeke

March 27, 2015

Lola and Tattletale Zeke

The adorable Lola is back, this time with her younger, but bigger, brother Zeke.  Every time Lola does something, like leave a toy outside, Zeke tells on her, even if it was an accident.   Lola doesn’t think it’s right but Zeke won’t listen to her.

Then, Zeke breaks his new toy even though Lola had warned him to be careful.  Still, she doesn’t tattle on him but Isabel the cat does.  Being tattled on makes Zeke feel sad and teaches him a lesson.

I adored Lola and Tattletale Zeke by Marcia Goldman!  Lola is a sweet little dog but she’s not perfect.  Her little brother delights in tattling on her and getting her in trouble and, of course, Lola doesn’t like it.  Nothing she says makes him stop but once he finds out how it feels, he does.

This picture book is full of adorable photos of Lola and Zeke that are sure to delight youngsters.  Every page has a full color picture and just a sentence or two.  Little ones will relate to Lola and Zeke and learn an important lesson along the way.

This is Goldman’s third Lola book and I love every one of them.  Be sure to check out the whole series!
