Review: Everything I Need to Know About Christmas I Learned From a Little Golden Book

Everything I Need to Know About Christmas

Diane Muldrow has worked her magic once again, this time taking pages from Little Golden Books to remind readers what Christmas is all about.  Sure, there’s lots of work to be done and lots of germs circulating but does all that really matter at the most magical time of the year?  As much fun as all of the holiday preparations and traditions are, Muldrow reminds us we need to remember the real reason for the celebration.

I thought Everything I Need to Know About Christmas I Learned From a Little Golden Book was just charming.  Muldrow takes pages from classic Little Golden Books to guide readers through the frantic holiday season.  It’s a time to go all out but it’s also a time to keep things simple.  However you celebrate Christmas, you need to remember the real reason for the holiday.

This is a quick, fun, and meaningful book that’s just what I needed before the crush of the holidays.

I won this book from Anita Loves Books.  I am an Indiebound Affliate.

I’m not sure how much I learned from Golden Books, but I sure spent a lot of time with them! (if only I could remember what they were about, I’d remember if I learned anything from them!)

The cover is very 50s-ish. I grew up on Little Golden Books, and nice to see they are still available. Some of he classics ones seem very old fashion in thought these days.

I saw these on the bestseller lists recently and wondered about them. Sounds like a perfect read for the holidays. How long is it?

Oh, this looks fun! Something I noticed about my family’s Christmas celebration this year was that there wasn’t much focus on the reason we were celebrating, unfortunately. Something to keep in mind for next, for sure.

I’m so happy you enjoyed this one. I’m in love with both my “Things I learned” books, btw, she has a new one coming-out, Things I learned about Love from Little Golden books. 🙂

Oh! My children just went through their books and knew I would have a difficult time if they gave away their Little Golden Books. They were such a huge portion of my childhood and I tried to make them a huge portion of their lives too. In the end, they ended up keeping them in their memory boxes. I will definitely have to check out this series.
