Mailbox Monday December 29

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued, and now hosted on its own blog.    I hope everyone had a great week and a wonderful holiday – we had a nice, quiet Christmas which was exactly what we wanted.  Santa didn’t bring me any books but the mailman brought a few.  I found these books in my mailbox last week:

Glad you had a nice Christmas. Santa doesn’t ever bring me books because he’s not sure what I’ve read. I’m a fan of Marisa de los Santos – can’t wait to hear about her new book. Have a great week!

We let the mailman bring us books too … Santa knows better. 🙂

  5. December 29, 2014 7:19 am

Is there another Dennis Lehane already? I’ve been meaning to read something by him for a long time. I like Marisa de los Santos, too. I’ll have to look into the other ones!

  6. December 29, 2014 7:58 am

Santa didn’t bring me any books either… thank God for the mailman! 😉

The mailman is certainly the new Santa! You had a great week in books. Hope you enjoy them!

  8. December 29, 2014 8:28 am

WOW, nice haul Kathy — I love LeHane’s writing.

  11. December 29, 2014 10:20 am

Enjoy! These all look so tempting…and I especially like the look of A Touch of Stardust. Thanks for visiting my blog.

The new Dennis Lehane book looks good!

Santa didn’t bring me books either… he knows better than to try and guess what I haven’t read. 🙂

I’ve been wanting to read the Little Golden Book you got. Let me know how it is.

  18. December 29, 2014 1:18 pm

Nothing in my mailbox but I did get the Annotated HP Lovecraft and the Annotated Sherlock Holmes short stories, so I’m happy!

  19. December 29, 2014 1:55 pm

No books from Santa for me, either, although I treated myself to a new cookbook (Skinnytaste) that I’m anxious to try once we return from Oregon. We spent Christmas Day traveling, so we celebrated on Boxing Day. It was quiet and relaxing, just the way we like it (although there are times when I miss the huge family gatherings we once had when we all lived in the San Diego area).

I’m eager to hear what you have to say about the new de los Santos novel. I loved her first two books (Love Walked In and Belong to Me), but was disappointed with her more recent novel (Falling Together). 2015 is my year for re-reading and I plan to add Belong to Me to my TBRR stack.

    Happy, happy 2015!

I didn’t get any books in my mailbox, OR for Christmas! How weird is that?! 🙂 But I did get a $15 book-shopping giftcard for my birthday.

  29. December 29, 2014 9:06 pm

Santa got frustrated that every book I received, I’d already read. So no more books for me, just gift cards. I love the Everything I Needed To Know About…I learned in a Little Golden Book. Happy New Year.
