Mailbox Monday Dec 15

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued, and now hosted on its own blog.   It was a slow week in books but that’s just fine by me because it’s such a busy time of year.  We did get going on Christmas last week – our tree is up – but we have a lot more to do!  Needless to say, not much reading got done around here.   I found these books in my mailbox last week:

What did you find in your mailbox last week?

My real mailbox was empty – thank goodness for ebooks! Have a lovely week.

I haven’t even done a post as I just returned from a tour of Vietnam. Now to get to Orkney for Christmas

I’m decorating in stages this year – not on purpose, though. Listening to Christmas music and baking some cookies over the weekend put me more in the mood to decorate. Not much reading time last week so I’m hoping to change that this week. Enjoy your new books!

It such a busy time of year…I’m sure it’s a relief that your mailbox hasn’t been overrun with new books.

Jussi Adler-Olsen is a good author, so I hope you enjoy Alphabet House

Have you read any of the Jussi Adler-Olson books? I’ve got one sitting in my bookshelf and have been told they are really good. But I haven’t tried it yet. What should I do?

Love the look and sound of The Alphabet House…a new-to-me author, but I can’t resist psychological thrillers.

Thanks for visiting my blog, and enjoy your week.

Belle, take a look at The Illuminator’s Gift, book 1 in the fantasy series The Voyages of the Legend. The author is Alina Sayre. It’s geared for 9-14 year olds. Her 2nd book in the series, The Illuminator’s Test, just came out. They’re both very good.

    Alphabet House caught my eye.

The Alphabet House sounds really good.

I usually put Christmas decorations up few days before Christmas so I haven’t really given any thought about it yet.
