Saturday Snapshot

February 1, 2014

I’m sure everyone has heard about the snowstorm that wreaked havoc on the south this week.   It’s the first “significant” snow we’ve had since 2011 but, luckily, it didn’t affect our area too much.  Here’s a view of the snow from our back door.

Snow in January

Saturday Snapshot was started by Alyce of At Home With Books and is hosted by Melinda of West Metro Mommy.  It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Melinda’s site.

So pretty!! We had a cold snap here yesterday (54 degrees, brrrr). Today it is still cold but sunny. Feels like it might have snowed somewhere.

I can hardly barely believe that snow! You need Uggs! I wore my black ones to dinner last night and was warm and comfy!

Gosh what a fantastic view to have from your back door! I am sorry that you’ve had snow though – it makes it so difficult to get stuff done, doesn’t it? A great excuse for hot chocolate though… lol.

    What a wonderful view!

To your comment on my blog, I am single and I live with my mom. Yeah, I am lucky that she chose to live with me instead of staying with any of my three brothers. We do have our share of fights but I love her and she too loves me the BEST! (Well, I think so!!)

It’s weird to have snow down here, isn’t it? I remember big snowstorms when I was a child but I can count on one hand the snow we’ve had since I became an adult. We got 2 inches here. Luckily it didn’t shut the city down.

That’s the perfect amount of snow, a light dusting and a lovely view. You wouldn’t want to be looking at what I see outside my back door!

  18. February 2, 2014 7:31 am

    Very pretty. Stay warm!

All we’ve had this winter is rain and wind. We had a few flakes of this this past week, but nothing that has stuck.

    What a nice picture.

That’s such a lovely view! Not much snow compared to where I live, but enough to cause some problems it sounds like. I hope you weren’t too inconvenienced by all of it.

Gee it looks so pretty. Bet it will disappear as fast as it arrived.

I love the fall look of the trees, and the snow on the ground.

It looks pretty. I’m glad you didn’t get it really bad. It’s been horrible here for snow this year. I’m ready for spring now.

Beautiful scene. Just a little bit of white stuff for the right wintry atmosphere. 😉
