Mailbox Monday December 2

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued.  December’s host is Gilion of Rose City Reader.  This fun meme needs a new home – if you’re interested, please contact Marcia.    This past week was crazy since Carl and Vance own a retail business.  I’m not complaining, mind you, I just didn’t get much done.  Here are the books that showed up in my mailbox last week:

Did you find any goodies in your mailbox last week?

Some nice food-y ones there – maybe you can tell I’m hungry? 😀
Enjoy the Laura Lippman, I’m looking forward to reading one of her books soon.

I guess you just have to add them to the pile and wait for a lull in activities…lol!

After I’m Gone particularly catches my eye. Happy reading!

After I’m Gone is on my list and Recipes sure looks like a fun little book.

ENJOY Adriana’s book. I have After I’m Gone, but haven’t read it yet.

    Have a great reading week.

I hosted 25 for Thanksgiving dinner so I didn’t get much done (reading or otherwise) either 😉 Your new books all look good!

I loved the Lippman and Trigiani books! And love the sound of Chasing Utopia. Enjoy! Thanks for visiting my blog.

Glad the store was busy this holiday weekend. That’s a good thing, though retail is exhausting. I worked many a black friday and I’m still having flashbacks 🙂

Yay for autographed books! Enjoy all your new arrivals.

    Hi Kathy,

It is good to know that your business is flourishing, despite all the economic doom and gloom which persists in most countries.

You have a real eclectic mix of books from some lesser known literary areas of the world and with the exception of ‘Recipe’, I would be quite happy to receive any of them for review.

You obviously have a reputation for enjoying ‘foodie’ titles, although I am still trying to work out how the Adriana Trigiani books gets its title!

Enjoy them all and have a good week,

You have racked in the books this month, Kathy! I haven’t heard of many of them. I’ll be curious to hear what you think…

I’m about ready to break the spine on Adriana Trigiani’s latest. Happy reading, Kathy!

Great mailbox. I loved Trigiani’s book! Enjoy.

I really should get the Adriana Trigiani at some point. I liked her previous book, but that is the only book I have ever read by her. Too many books and not enough time!

  18. December 2, 2013 2:10 pm

    Enjoy your great haul.

Chasing Utopia by Nikki Giovanni came from Harper Collins is on my wish list. Happy reading

I just finished reading After I’m Gone and posted the review on my blog. I liked it a lot but I have to say it isn’t my favorite of her books. It’s still set in Baltimore (one thing I like about her novels) but the plot is quite different.

Kathy, I think you’ll enjoy your new stack of books! 🙂

You needed a signed hard copy of Adriana’s latest to add to your library!

Great books and an autographed copy too, nice!

Glad your famiy’s business is booming! I got Adriana’s book on audio. Looking forward to it.

  30. December 2, 2013 10:29 pm

I can’t wait to read your thoughts on Trigiani’s latest. I’m currently listening to the audio of her second book in this trilogy (Brava Valentine) before I read my copy of Supreme Macaroni.

How awesome that your book was signed by Adriana Trigiani. I don’t believe I’ve read anything by her yet, but I’m pretty sure I do already own at least one by her. Happy reading!

I see you have the new Nikki Giovanni book. Enjoy!

  33. December 3, 2013 11:00 pm

No goodies for me but I do plan on making a shopping trip to B&N sometime this week for Christmas gifts (and I can never resist goodies for me since no one buys me books!)

  34. January 1, 2014 9:55 pm

I do have a book by Adriana Trigiani so I’m really excited to see one here. Happy reading!
