Saturday Snapshot

November 16, 2013

Over a year ago, I purchased a Little Free Library to place in the park in our neighborhood.  Carl was to put it up for me but since the store opened, he just hasn’t had time.  I finally thought to approach a kind neighbor and he agreed to install it last weekend.  He did a wonderful job and the library looks terrific! (On the other side of those bushes is this statue of a girl reading.)  I can’t wait for everyone to start using the library!

Awesome! Our city council just started talking about these over the last couple of months. I would love to have one but we live on a state highway.

I love it! There is a house about two blocks from me that has one in their front yard. I downloaded the plans to build one but I have to wait for help with the sawing and nailing. I can handle the painting.

Oooooh, I love those Little libraries. Would love to have one. I live in an apartment. Not sure of the rules. Plus, the cost is pretty big for me. They are so cute. What a nice neighbor too.,,Love the trees. I have photos for this week. Don’t know where the meme begins.

I LOVE this idea! It reminds me of the postbox that Laurie and Meg install between their homes in ‘Little Women’ … I want my husband to build me one to install somewhere in our little community!

I wonder how that would work in my neighborhood. If it wasn’t water tight, the winter snow would surely ruin the books. I love the idea though. I want to share my books and haven’t found a really good way to do that. Thanks for the idea.

So pretty! Is the whole thing your responsibility? The location, ordering and keeping it stocked? I’d love to hear your experience with it because I think it might be a great activity to do with Gage.
