Mailbox Monday October 28

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued.  Gina of Book Dragon’s Lair will be hosting the meme for the month of October.   Last week was so cold, I thought we’d skipped fall and gone straight to winter.  I broke down and cut the heat on which just felt wrong.  Thankfully the weather this week will be more seasonal.  Here are the books that showed up in my mailbox last week:

Sounds like your reading week only got better and better! I love the cover of Wiley Cash’s novel, I don’t know who said ‘we’ll go brown’ but they’re a genius. 🙂 It is definitely getting colder, not sure how long fall will be this year…

Nice variety. A new Peanuts book! It wouldn’t be the holidays without Charlie Brown. If it’s any consolation, it was freezing here last week too and I broke down and put the heat on. Much better today though, sunny and nice.

No books in the mail for me last week — or for many weeks, at that. Sometimes I miss getting so much mail, but with it comes responsibility. I’m trying to play catch up as it is.
So, your Mailbox Mondays are nice for me. I get to live vicariously through you!

Great stack of books, Kathy! World Beer looks like a fun book (cheers!). I’m glad you’re having warmer weather this week. Hopefully, winter will be more patient.

  26. October 28, 2013 2:35 pm

    Hi Kathy,

A great and varied selection of books this week, but there are just two which stand out above the rest for me.

Both are new to me authors, however Carla Buckley and Wilry Cash are heading straight for my author list.

The Wiley Cash books in particular, are both very topical areas of discussion, here in the UK right now and to get a US perspective on the same issues would be so interesting. I suspect that the outcome won’t be much different, no matter where in the World you are and are simply issues which need tackling on a Worldwide scale, although I suspect that is never going to happen, as too many people in high places are involved!

Thanks for sharing, enjoy your books and have a good week.

    Yvonne
