Mailbox Monday September 30

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued and hosted by Bob of Beauty in Ruins this month.  I had another slow week but that’s okay because I was too busy to get much reading done.  On Thursday, I headed to Atlanta to watch the Hokies play beat the Yellow Jackets and then spent the weekend with our nephew.  We toured a couple breweries and checked out the Dekalb Farmer’s Market, among other things, and reading took a backseat to spending time with him.  Here are the books that showed up in my mailbox last week:

Did you find any goodies in your mailbox last week?

Is it hosted by Bob or Notorious Spinx? I don’t see the post up yet on either of the blogs.

I’ll be interested in your review of the new KR book. I’ve enjoyed a couple of hers. Your trip to Atlanta sounded fun! We’ve had company for the past few weeks so my reading time has been almost nil.

Seeing Paperboy made me think it would be fun to receive in the mail a book called UPS Person, or Mail Deliverer.

Ohhh, these all look good. I received a copy of HAVISHAM which I’m looking forward to. Your weekend sounds like it was a blast. Hope you’ve already indulged your love of great beer with a trip out to Portland or have one planned in the future. Plus we have Powell’s City of Books so it’s a win-win!

Paperboy and The Whole Golden World look good. I also received Etched in Sand which I think will be a difficult but worthwhile book to read.

Hmmm…Killer’s Island looks tempting. And reading should take a backseat to supporting your Hokies!

with some many books arriving each week I can see why proper book bloggers get quite overwhelmed at times! As you know I post about books but don’t review new books – just books I’ve read. Good luck with all that reading!

Atlanta is a fun city, had lots of business in and just outside of Atlanta in the late 90s.

Enjoy your new books; they are all new to me.
