Mailbox Monday September 22

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued and hosted by Yolanda of Notorious Spinks Talks Books this month.  My mailbox didn’t see much action last week, but I’m not complaining.  Things have been so busy lately, I haven’t had much time to read.  I keep thinking things will slow down, but I don’t see that happening for a while.  In the meantime, I’m thankful for great audio books!  Here are the books that showed up in my mailbox last week:

Did you find any goodies in your mailbox last week?

Audiobooks are a great way to keep up with your reading even while you are busy with other things! I have recently got into audio books and am loving the experience..

I downloaded a copy of Abbi Glines book this morning (pre-ordered through iBooks) but I haven’t read the first one in that spin off series yet so it might be a little while before I get to it. The Lion Seeker sounds cools “streets of Johannesburg” caught my attention – historic and exotic, I’m intrigued! Fixed looks funny. Hope you enjoy both of these when you get around to them.

My saving grace these last few YEARS have been audios. If it weren’t for them, I’d read about two books a month.

I got Fixed also. I love dog mysteries! Hope you like both your books.

Sometimes you just don’t get many books in. I surpassed myself this month

Know what you mean about being busy – semester has just started for me but I really don’t feel like cracking the (work) books! Enjoy your books and I hope you have more time for reading soon.

My mailbox has been crammed with nonfiction lately. And children’s picture books. Two of my favorites.

    Here’s my It’s Monday.

I haven’t got much books for the last month but I always live in hope. Something major is sure to turn up!

Audiobook are the best! I have been able to listen more which is a postive thing about my back issues! Have a good week.

Haven’t read these, but just finished Gone Girl (wow). I’d love to do more audio, but our car is perpetually stuck on Narnia, which is a pretty great place to get stuck 🙂

The Lion Seeker sounds like a good one. Enjoy! I think my last five “reads” have been audiobooks. They really help me multitask. Have a good week, Kathy!

I’ll be very interested to hear what you think of THE LION SEEKER, Kathy. I’ve read two reviews, one pro, one con. So I’m on the fence and need guidance!

They look good especially THE LION SEEKER.

Oh well…sometimes it’s nice to have a teensy break from a good book…

  27. September 23, 2013 9:51 pm

I hear you on the audiobooks. Half my reading now is actually ‘listening’.

  28. September 23, 2013 10:42 pm

I’m having the same issue as you when it comes to reading. Busy busy weeks and it’s not slowing down!

  29. September 24, 2013 3:16 am

Audiobooks are a lifesaver for our reading lives when life gets too busy! Hopefully you manage to get a bit of reading done even if things don’t slow down. Happy reading!

Since I get to listen to audios again in the car when Gage is in school it makes me feel so good 🙂 Of course right now I’m listening to The Passage so who knows how many months that may take!

  31. September 26, 2013 10:42 am

Enjoy the light week! I’ve been so busy that reading and blogging have taken a back seat the last couple of weeks, so I know how you feel.
