Saturday Snapshot

Friends of ours were out of the country for Christmas, so their dog stayed with us.  They brought his bed over with him but when I suggested he might want to use it, he just laughed at me.  His favorite place to be was on someone’s lap and when there was no lap available, he claimed the throw on the sofa.  He’s obviously very smart, because he had us trained in no time.

It looks like the type of doggy who can decide for itself, thank you very much.:-)

LOL … smart pup! I’m so glad you were able to doggie-sit. He’s a cutie, and with his red sweater and your red afghan, he looks like he’s posing for a Christmas card.

With that adorable little face how could you not let him take over the house in no time!

  4. January 5, 2013 10:51 am

Aww he is so cute! I love the colors in this photo too.

Such a cute dog! He sounds like our dog. Our dog always wants to be in my lap. Luckily she only weighs about 9 lbs. Great photo.

What a sweeeeet dog! And omg, I know what you mean by having you trained in no time ~ how is it these cute little faces have us wrapped around their paws so quickly?!?

  7. January 5, 2013 11:35 am

It’s good to have a Christmas guest who knows it’s place.

  8. January 5, 2013 11:49 am

He looks like a lap dog!!! And my dogs love the throws too. They’ll curl up whereever the throws are — even on the back of the couch in a very precarious position!

What a cutie! He does look comfy right where he is!! 😉

  10. January 5, 2013 12:18 pm

What a cutie. My in-laws used to have a Schnauzer.

  11. January 5, 2013 12:25 pm

Such a cute face! Bella has her own blanket but she will claim any throw as hers. She loves to be covered up.

  12. January 5, 2013 12:27 pm

I bet this was therapeutic for you, having this little sweetie around. *sigh* I need a dog.

What a cute dog! Great photo. My kids want a dog, but I am not an animals in the house person!

Oh, the throw and he are beautiful. I want him sooooo badly. I’m sure Boots would love him. What kind of dog is he? I’ve fallen in love with him.

Ha! A pretty face and they are just able to do whatever they like 😉 How adorable, maybe I should pet-sit for someone to get my fix!

I have an afghan that my mother knitted for me when I was in college. My late beloved cat claimed it as his own and it become his “gramma afghan.”

He is so cute! Someday I’ll talk my husband into having a small dog. He grew up owning large dogs, so our compromise was a lab. 🙂 She’s a sweetie but those little dogs are adorable!

  24. January 5, 2013 2:08 pm

    so cute!

  25. January 5, 2013 2:09 pm

I like the way you combined the red afghan with the white and a touch of black of the dog.

What a lovely picture. That is one bright dog, and you are clearly a well trained human!

  28. January 5, 2013 2:56 pm

He does look adorable sitting there on your throw (which is also gorgeous!). Thanks for sharing!

He is a cutie! I hope you all got along well.

I watched my soccer coach’s sheepdog when I was in high school and he was such a sweetie. But then he got really sick and I had to take him to the vet. He had a fever and tonsillitis!! I never heard of such a thing in a dog! Fortunately, he got well but they still cut their vacation short and I felt guilty. I hope your adventure went much smoother than mine! 🙂

LOL – he’s a cutie! My dog has plenty of comfy beds, but he’d much rather bury himself under a blanket, and take up the whole couch instead.
