I found some great new words that are a lot of fun and should impress people in this article on HLNTV.com
1. Nurdle – The nurdle feel off my toothbrush and made a huge mess in the sink.
A nurdle is “the name for the wavy little glob of toothpaste you put on your toothbrush.”

2. tittle – Young girls like to replace their tittles with hearts.
A tittle is “a certain diacritic mark. One example of a tittle is the dot over a lowercase i or j.”

3. Grawlix – The coach was so mad, I had to replace half of his quote with grawlixes so kids could read it.
Grawlix means “the typographical symbols or nonsense characters that represent swearing in comics and respectable websites.”

What words do you want to celebrate today?
Eek! I love nurdle. I’m going to use that next time. 🙂
I’m not so sure about tittles, though. It’s so easy to slip and use the wrong word, if you know what I mean. *wink wink*
XOXO Kim
Nurdle – who knew? 🙂
Oi! These are certainly some fancy new words to drop in conversation!!
Ha, I love this! I regularly exercise placing grawlixes in my Facebook posts 🙂
I never knew that had a name lol.

Hi Kathy,
What some excellent words this week, I have never heard any of them.
‘Grawlixes’ shouldn’t be too difficult to drop into a conversation, but my favourite word has to be ‘nurdle’, that little glob of toothpaste which invariably falls off into the sink and takes forever to rinse away! I shall have to try that one out in conversation.
I can’t believe that there seems to a word for everything and every action, no matter how obscure!
What a fun post,
Yvonne
I just love these words for today…especially nurdles!
I think I am a nurdle in a different sense of the word! These are great words today! I love tittle!
That’s so funny! Nurdles are ALWAYS falling off my toothpaste and making a mess. And now I can talk about it! LOL
Grawlix….I had no idea those had a name..cool!
I can’t help it – tittle makes me titter. I appreciate the #$% use of grawlix but nurdle is def. my fave of these words. I can almost picture that adorable little nurdle screaming as I pop it in my mouth.
Those are fun words today. I’m glad to know there is a word for all those typing symbols when I’m trying not to be vulgar.
Oh my goodness. I can actually use nurdle all of the time!!!
Fun list today.
These are fun words. I never knew nurdles had a name. Now I can grawlix as I try to rinse the nurdle out of the sink. 🙂
You come up with wonderful words! Grawlix makes me laugh just looking at it.
Lol, nurdle
Funny. Those are definitely new to me, and I guess to most of us. Nurdle is great — now if I can just remember it!
All new words to me, but like everyone we are afflicted with nurdles down here in Australia too.
I read nurdle and thought, “wow–I’ve got to use that word!”. Then I read the other two: they are great, too!
Nurdle is awesome and new to me too! I knew tittle, and Grawlix sounds like it should be the name of some sort of monster or faction in a dystopian novel. 🙂
I always wondered what those string of characters meant to represent curse words in comics were called!
And how come the nurdles always inconveniently land on a rug??
Fun words!
Think I could actually make sure of all of these week. Love grawlix!
Oops, meant ‘can make use of all of these this week’ – the perils of auto-correct.
I love your words this week. I didn’t even think there were names for such things!
The nurdle always falls off my toothbrush!! I think that is such a cool word!
