Mailbox Monday

May 7, 2012

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and hosted by Martha of Martha’s Bookshelf in May.  The year is one-third over already and I feel like it just started. I came to visit my mom on Friday so this only shows what I got Monday through Thursday – I’ll include Friday and Saturday with next week’s post.  Here’s what I found in my mailbox last week:

Tuesday

I’m into any cookbooks that have “quick-fix” or “easy” in the title. LOL Hope this one is a good one.

Like Diane, I am all for quick and easy. I rarely get home on a weeknight before 7pm so I need to be able to throw it in a crock pot or whip it up in 15 minutes or we are eating at 9. I can’t wait to hear about this one.

That does sound good! Indian food is usually so time-consuming to make but we love it.

This looks like a neat book! I like Indian food, but only when it’s mild. That makes it hard to use recipes, though, since I’m not an experienced enough cook to know what spices make things hot.

Sounds like an interesting cook book, enjoy!

    MY MONDAY MEMES POST

That is one type of food I’ve never really tried as I’m afraid of spices.

  24. May 7, 2012 5:40 pm

MMM…. unlike Jenners, I love spices – the spicier the better, Indian food is something I have never attempted at home, but I am always open to try 🙂

Ooooooooooooooooooooooo yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I adore Indian food. The gal at my local Indian restaurant kept joking that my daughter was going to come out Indian from me eating it so much.

What a yummy book to get in the mail. And I do love Indian food. My friend allows us to make a phone call to her at 1-800-Indian-Food. She is a great friend and a fabulous cook.

P.S. That isn’t a real number to call in case anyone tries it. You won’t get my friend or anyone at that I know of. 🙂

If you are only going to have one book, that would be a good one. I’m a little jealous of it actually. Hope you have a great week.

I would love to check this one out. I’d love to learn how to cook Indian but always feel like it is labor intensive so quick fix sounds good for me.
