Giveaway: The Way We Fall

January 28, 2012

Life has been crazy so I haven’t had a chance to read The Way We Fall, by Megan Crewe, yet, but it’s a book I’m really excited about.  Here’s a little about it:

It starts with an itch you just can’t shake.

Then comes a fever and a tickle in your throat.

A few days later, you’ll be blabbing your secrets and chatting with strangers like they’re old friends.  Three more, and the paranoid hallucinations kick in.

And then you’re dead.

When a deadly virus begins to sweep through sixteen-year-old Kaelyn’s community, the government quarantines her island—no one can leave, and no one can come back.

Those still healthy must fight for dwindling supplies, or lose all chance of survival. As everything familiar comes crashing down, Kaelyn joins forces with a former rival and discovers a new love in the midst of heartbreak. When the virus starts to rob her of friends and family, she clings to the belief that there must be a way to save the people she holds dearest.

Because how will she go on if there isn’t?

And here’s the trailer:

Doesn’t that sound good?  Thanks to Hyperion, I have two copies of this exciting book to give away.

To enter to win THE WAY WE FALL, simply fill out the entry form.  Contest is open to those with a US address only – one entry per person, please.  I will use random.org to determine the winner. Contest ends at midnight EST Friday, February 10, 2012.   Winner will be announced on Saturday, February 11, 2012.  Comments are welcome (and appreciated) but will not get you an entry in the contest.

Sounds like an exciting read. I’ll probably start worrying over every little sneeze. LOL

This is my problem with these kinds of books, too. I love to read them, but then I start mentally planning how I’ll pack my car and where I’ll flee when the pandemic comes…

This definitely sounds like the kind of book I like!

This does sound good. I’ll be watching for your review when you get around to it.

Dystopias really are a growing genre, especially for YA books (I’m guessing this one’s YA). Interesting that this one seems to be isolated to one island rather than the whole world (or is it?). I’ll be watching for your review, too (and maybe doing one myself; for sure if i win a copy!).

Sounds like a very exciting read. It might be too dystopian for me, though.

I was reading about this one on somebody’s Top Ten Tuesday this week. It sounds like it would be right up my dystopian alley.
