Saturday Snapshot

October 22, 2011

A couple years ago I gave Carl a trip to Charleston for a Christmas gift.  It was a win for me, since I got to go with him.  He got up early one morning to take some pictures of the harbor over sunrise while I slept in.  His idea of a vacation and mine are obviously different.  This is one of the photos he took that morning.

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books.  It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Alyce’s site.

Oh, I really want to visit Charleston some day! And this is a gorgeous photo.

I’ve read so many books set in the Carolinas and other Southern states, that I almost feel like I’ve been there.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

I LOVE sitting by the water, listening to the sounds that go with it. That’s such a gorgeous spot, I’d be out on that dock reading and my husband would be fishing!

  32. October 22, 2011 5:10 pm

Oh how very beautiful!I love the south eastern coast!

  33. October 22, 2011 6:56 pm

My husband and I have similar holiday structures to you. He sees lots of sunrises (the photos always look nice) and I have a restful sleep in. It looks a beautiful spot there.

  34. October 22, 2011 7:02 pm

That would be lovely on my living room wall – a really great shot!

    My Snapshot is here.

Ahh, gorgeous. That would be fabulous to wake up to that. And what a great present to give him!!

  36. October 22, 2011 7:30 pm

This shot is worth an early morning…as long as there’s a steaming cup of coffee waiting for me 🙂

  37. October 22, 2011 8:48 pm

That is definitely worth getting up early for… even though I’m a night person.

  38. October 22, 2011 9:32 pm

Ha! I never get it either when people wake up early to take pictures. I’ve only done that once. Beautiful picture though!

  39. October 22, 2011 10:32 pm

That is gorgeous! I used to be a morning person before I got married. My husband has converted me to a night owl though.

  40. October 23, 2011 7:32 am

  41. October 23, 2011 8:22 am

Breathtaking, it’s almost as though you could melt inside the sunrise

  42. October 23, 2011 10:08 am

What a gorgeous photo, Kathy. This is one that you can frame and hang or place on a table or something. So pretty. I have to say I love those gifts that benefit the giver sometimes, too…trips, movie, concert & show tickets etc. !

  43. October 23, 2011 11:45 am

    Beautiful! I love the colours.

  44. October 23, 2011 11:51 am

Carl took a lovely picture here that should be framed and put on a wall. Has he ever entered a photo contest? This one would be a winner I’m sure. I always think of jigsaw puzzles too. Wouldn’t this be a tough one to do?

  45. October 23, 2011 8:01 pm

Just beautiful. I bet you wished you wouldn’t have slept in!

  46. October 23, 2011 8:18 pm

    Beautiful! Wish I was there!

  47. October 24, 2011 8:01 am

    That’s stunning.

  48. October 24, 2011 8:43 am

Amazing photo, you could frame this one!

  49. October 25, 2011 1:00 am

What an awesome gift (for both of you!). Charlestown is a must see on my list. It’s part of a trip I’d love to take with my mother.

  50. October 26, 2011 4:04 pm

How beautiful! You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a sunrise while on vacation.

  51. October 29, 2011 5:20 pm

Gorgeous! I could use a bit of the warmth it looks like there was in this picture.
