Since it’s Monday, it’s time to take a peek in my mailbox!  Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted by Gwendolyn of A Sea of Books this month.  I found these books in my mailbox last week:

    The House on Salt Hay Road and The End of the Wasp Season sound really good. I haven’t heard of them before. Hope you’ve a wonderful week in reading!

    I just looked up The House on Salt Hay Road and I think it is definitely one I would love. Love the cover of it too.

    The last one sounds like a phrase my father would often say as a joke when he saw someone large, (unkind I admit, which is not at all his spirit). I wonder what that book will be about.

    I have The Astral…looking forward to it. And I’m interested in The End of the Wasp Season, because I’ve read a couple of books by Denise Mina…scary!

    I gave The Astral to my dad for his birthday and I plan on borrowing it from him someday when I’m in the mood for that kind of read.

    All of those are great selections. However I have been dying to get my hands on YOU DON”T SWEAT MUCH FOR A FAT GIRL, because I love the cover. It is so cute and I feel like my big self could have posed for it. I feel a new self portrait coming on! lol

    I saw that title You Don’t Sweat Much for A Fat Girl twice today – am dying to know what it is about. I do have to admit I laughed because it is so OUT THERE as a title to even consider. Going to look it up and praying it is a comedy of sorts.

    I must admit, I’d be most excited about THE HOUSE ON SALT HAY ROAD. Seems like lots of people are really interested in that one, too. But I do like Denise Mina as well. Hope you enjoy them all! Along with what you picked up today, too! 😉
