Since it’s Monday, it’s time to take a peek in my mailbox!  Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted by Gwendolyn of A Sea of Books this month.  I found these books in my mailbox last week:

    I’ve been meaning to try a Laura Lippman book. The Book of Lies sounds like an interesting read.

    You have books that run the gamut from upbeat and fun, to very dark and scary this week…Hope you enjoy them all!
    The Snow Child looks particularly interesting to me…had not heard of that one before.

    SNOW CHILD sounds like my kind of book – but I’d like to read YANKEE DOODLE DIXIE, too! Let’s face it — they all sound good! Happy reading!

    Great books, I look forward to hear what you think of Yankee Doodle Dixie. I really liked Whistlin’ Dixie in a Nor’easter and I’m looking forward to this one.

    The Snow Child has me curious. I’ll have to check that one out. I keep thinking I need to try a Lippman book. I have yet to see a bad review for one of her books. Great mailbox as always!

    So jealous of your Laura Lippman read! I love her stuff. The last one I read was I’d Know Yu Anywhere, and anytime I come across one of the songs posted at the beginning of each chapter, I remember and think of it.

    Hi Kathy,

    A great, varied selection of books again this week, although I can only see one which would instantly grab my interest.

    Laura Lippman is not an author I have come acroos before, but after checking her out some more, she has definitely been added to my reading list.

    Thanks for highlighting her book, I know I can always rely on your Monday posts to throw up at least one ‘must read’

    Did you read Whistlin Dixie in a Nor’Easter by Lisa Patton? I have that on my shelf – the cover with snow looks very appealing right now in the heat wave!
