Review: I Has a Hotdog

I Has a Hotdog by Professor Happycat is the latest Cheezburger book.  Basically, it’s pages of LOLdogs divided into several different categories such as Kill Cat! and Food. The back cover says:

For all you hoomins, a LOLdog is a kay-nine picture with a funny, misspelled caption.

This book is a lot of fun – most of the pictures in this book are really cute and some of the captions made me laugh out loud.  I shared more than one with Carl.   The photos are full color and they’re fun to flip through.  My only problem is, there isn’t that much to the book, so I think $12.00 is a little steep for it.  Having said that, I do think it would make a fun gift for a dog lover.  To get an idea of what this book is like, check out the website of this fun video:

I won this book in a contest on Amber Stults.   I am an Indiebound Affliate.

This looks like a fun book to look through, but I think I’d rather borrow it than own it.

I agree with you about the price, but it seems like funny gift items always carry an out-of-proportion price tag!

It does look cute and fun!!

I considered getting one of the cat books for my daughter at Xmas but had the same issue with the price. Better to just look at them online! Still they are hilarious!

I haven’t heard of this one, but it sure sounds like fun!

Every time I see this cover, I can’t help but think of Rachel Lucas. She stopped blogging last year after she moved to London, which is a shame because she was great – and had a ton of pictures of her dogs.

I actually wonder if Rachel Lucas IS professor Happycat?? Hm…

I don’t think I’d ever buy this book, but it does seem cute.

Funny! It’s weird how many websites are starting to get book deals from them… I’m not sure what I think of it yet.

Definitely something I would buy as a gift, but not for myself!

My husband and kids love this website, so I think this would make a perfect read for them. I do think 12.00 is a bit steep also, but I am still going to try to take a look at this book in person to see if it’s worth it for us. Thanks for spotlighting this one!!

I follow the feed for lolcats and loldogs…they are always great if I need a smile. I agree..high price tag but I know somebody who would get a kick out of the books, so I’m sure I’ll be buying it for Christmas.

I was contemplating the other day about getting the cat version but didn’t. I agree with you that the price is quite steep, which was the reason I decided to withhold buying. But I do visit the LOLcats website regularly.
