Wondrous Words Wednesday
Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme where we share new (to us) words that we’ve encountered in our reading. Feel free to join in the fun.
I found this word in Confessions of a Former Child by Daniel J. Tomasulo.
1. paginated – “Her handwriting was shaky and the papers not paginated.”
Paginated is the past tense of paginate which means to number the pages of a book or other document.
This word came from The Great Expectations School by Dan Brown.
2. fumfered – “Oh, I fumfered.”
Fumfer is a Yiddish word meaning to “mumble”, most often used to mean to be evasive; can also mean to putter aimlessly or to waste time.
