Mailbox Monday December 23

Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued.  December’s host is Gilion of Rose City Reader.  It’s the week of Christmas and I’m pretty much ready – all I have left to do is fight the crowds at the grocery store.  Here are the books that showed up in my mailbox last week:

I read The Wolf of Wall Street years ago (way before all the movie hype) – it was definitely raucous, but never in a million years would I have guessed that Martin Scorsese and Leo DiCaprio would have ever made a movie out of it!

Looks like a bunch of good reading this week! I’m curious about the new Anita Shreve and Tessa Hadley books. The Fishing Fleet looks interesting, too! As for me, I got a copy of Savage Girl, too. I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll like it more than The Orphanmaster, her previous book.

My hubby, bless his heart, went at 6am to do our dinner shopping! It was a breeze he said. I see a couple that are on my want to read list. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

    Hi Kathy,

Wow! are you sure this is only one week’s worth of new arrivals, or have you been saving them all up for one gigantic Christmas feast of new titles … LOL!

Given my new found interest in the short story, I am very tempted by the Jeffery Deaver collection and the Anita Shreve story sounds up to her usual exemplary standards.

Thanks for sharing and I hope that you get the time to read at least some of them over the Christmas break, have a lovely time.
