Saturday Snapshot

Since my mom’s birthday is on Monday, I thought I’d share a picture of her today. Here she is holding me as an infant. Based on my size, I’d say the photo was taken early in 1959 and my mom still looks the same, but I sure have changed!

Happy Birthday to your mother! What a great picture from another time! I’m a few years older than you but it looks like our mothers lived in the same world where even new mothers dressed neatly … mine used to change for dinner. Nothing fancy; just a clean blouse and skirt or a simple dress.

Wonderful photo! I do remember those times, and from the fifties to the late sixties, we always seemed to dress up in skirts or dresses. Then everything turned really casual (late 60s through the 70s).
