Friends of ours were out of the country for Christmas, so their dog stayed with us. They brought his bed over with him but when I suggested he might want to use it, he just laughed at me. His favorite place to be was on someone’s lap and when there was no lap available, he claimed the throw on the sofa. He’s obviously very smart, because he had us trained in no time.

I have an afghan that my mother knitted for me when I was in college. My late beloved cat claimed it as his own and it become his “gramma afghan.”
He is so cute! Someday I’ll talk my husband into having a small dog. He grew up owning large dogs, so our compromise was a lab.

I watched my soccer coach’s sheepdog when I was in high school and he was such a sweetie. But then he got really sick and I had to take him to the vet. He had a fever and tonsillitis!! I never heard of such a thing in a dog! Fortunately, he got well but they still cut their vacation short and I felt guilty. I hope your adventure went much smoother than mine!
