2012 blog stats

WordPress sent out a fun “year in blogging report” and I thought I’d share some of my 2012 statistics, in case anyone else is as geeky as I am. I posted a total of 440 times in 2012 and uploaded 465 photos. My busiest day of the year was January 28th with 2969 views.
My top posts of the year were:
- Review: Little Princes
- Review: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
- Review: Confetti Cakes for Kids
- Author event and giveaway: Cassandra Clare
- I am a Cheesemaker!
Interestingly enough, the review of Little Princes was the only one of the top posts originally published in 2012.
My top search terms were:
- whey
- Cassandra Clare
- Cakes
- bermuda onion
- John Grogan
I received hits from 161 countries with the United States, Canada and the UK bringing the most.
My top commenters for 2012 were:

It’s odd the posts that become the most searched. My biggest hits come from an old middle grade review.
I hope you continue to host Wondrous Words Wednesday. I one of my favorite memes. Isn’t it fun to see a report like WordPress gave you? I’ll bet it told you things you never suspected. Happy New Year !

Those WordPress stats were interesting for my blog too. A 2011 post about goldfinches was the most viewed in 2012 … go figure!
