Oh, Sarah Jio; I still have a couple of her books on my TBR I need to read – I’ve heard really good things about her. And I’ll be interested to see how you get on with The Casual Vacancy – a lot of people seem to be finding it a struggle.

Very cool that you got Casual Vacancy! I’m on the holds list for it at the library, and I’m pretty sure I was one of the first on the list, so hopefully I’ll get to read it soon. Enjoy all of your new books!

    Hi Kathy,

‘Casual Vacancy’ has received some pretty mixed press over here in the UK, although it did confound all the pundits by going to the top of the bestsellers last week!, perhaps that was more curiosity more than anything else! I see that J.K. has now come out and said that she is going back to writing a children’s book for her next release.

I particularly like the sound of ‘Blackberry Winter’ and ‘The Black Box’ and those are both now on my reading list, thanks for highlighting them.

I hope that you enjoy your diverse collection this week.

    Yvonne

I wasn’t particularly interested in Casual Vacancy until I heard a NPR interview with JK Rowling last week – it got me interested in the book so I look forward to hearing what you think.

I still have The Bungalow to read by Sarah Jio and promised myself I would read it before getting another of her books but the cover is so beautiful!

I so want to read Casual Vacancy but I will hold off until I read your review of the audio!!
