Mailbox Monday
July 9, 2012
Welcome to Mailbox Monday, a meme started by Marcia and hosted this July by Jennifer of Mrs. Q: Book Addict. Things have been crazy around here and it seems I was able to do more listening than reading last week, so I was really happy to receive some audiobooks. I found these books in my mailbox last week:
Monday
- Kingdom of Strangers by Zoe Ferraris came from Hachette Books
Tuesday
- Wake of the Bloody Angel by Alex Bledsoe came from Tor
- Those We Love Most by Lee Woodruff came from Hyperion
- Keepsake by Kristina Riggle came from Book Club Girl for a Blog Talk Radio show on July 25
- My Happy Days in Hollywood by Garry Marshall was a win from Crown Publishing
- Love Anthony by Lisa Genova came from Simon & Schuster
Thursday
- Heartbroken by Lisa Unger came from Erin Mitchell
- The Last Policeman by Ben Winters came from Quirk Books
Friday
- The Storm by Clive Cussler was a win from The Reading Date
- Stolen Prey by John Sandford was a win from The Reading Date
- The Secret Pilgrim by John Le Carré came from Penguin Audio
- Potboiler by Jesse Kellerman came from Penguin Audio
- Night Watch by Linda Fairstein came from Penguin Audio

Audiobooks do come in handy for multi-tasking, don’t they? Can’t wait to hear what you think of these. Keepsake looks like a good one too – I have a strange fascination with hoarders.
I am not familiar with these books, but I hope they are terrific reads for you. Excellent mailbox, Kathy!
You had a good week, I also rec’d the Lee Woodruff book, I have Love Anthony in egalley, and I rec’d The Guest Book from Marybeth Whalen. Happy reading!!

I’ve got Night Watch and Heartbroken to listen to as well.
Kingdom of Strangers sounds so good! Enjoy your books!
So, so cool that you got so many audiobooks! I love them because I can listen and do other things, like clean out my closet and clean the house. Not fun tasks, but with an audio on, it seems almost worth it! Great selection here today!
You have your work cut out for you…lovely books and audio!
So many wins! Congratulations!
Several you received sound good. I look forward to reading your thoughts on them!
Many of those are new to me. Enjoy!
Happy reading!
Wow, great stack. Enjoy!
The new Lisa Genova and the Garry Marshall book look especially good but a great stack all round.
Oh my goodness! Look at that stack! Happy reading.
About halfway through “Heartbroken” by Lisa Unger and it is great!
I have just added this one to my list to read. The author is new to me, but I love the sound of the storyline. Glad to hear that you are enjoying the read.

Hi Kathy,
I am not into audiobooks at all, but in any other format, I will take all of your Friday finds, as authors that i have read before, but all new titles to me.
I also like the look of ‘Heartbroken’ and ‘Love Anthony’, both by new to me authors and both now added to my reading list.
Thanks for sharing.
Yvonne
Wow, you are on a roll with the wins. Happy reading.
I’ll be interested in your review of the Kristina Riggle book. I’ve enjoyed a couple of hers and one was a miss. Nice audio wins too!
I’m really curious about The Last Policeman. Happy reading and listening!
I seriously need to stop looking at your MM posts. My list of “want to read” keeps getting longer and longer!
Hope you enjoy them all!
Great bunch of books! I’m curious about Secret Pilgrim. I hope you enjoy them!
You got a ton of great books. I’m very jealous about those audio ones.
Wake of the Bloody Angel isn’t usually what I see your reading. I will be interested to see what you think, have you read the ones before it?

tons of fun for you!
Wow, what a nice variety to suit all of your reading moods. I rarely listen to audio books anymore because I now work from home most of the time. I use to enjoy them during my commute to work.
I am so looking forward to the new Lisa Genova book! Keepsake sounds good too! Enjoy your new reads, Kathy!
At mailbox! And I like the pic displaying them. Happy reading!
*Great mailbox
We got a bunch of the same books this week. I’m always thrilled when new audiobooks arrive in my mailbox, I go through them so fast in the summer. I’m really looking forward to The Last Policeman, just need to carve out some time to sit still and read it.
I have heard really great things about Zoe Ferraris and her new novel sounds very interesting. Enjoy your new books!
I think my review of The Last Policeman posts this week. I loved it and I hope you do too.
Another great week Kathy congrats!
I would love to read the Garry Marshall memoir as I loved his shows in the 70s and would like to know the behind the scenes gossip.
I had Stolen Prey checked out of the library and and ran out of time to listen to it!
Would love to try audiobooks! But holy moly girl, where do you find the time to go through all THAT?
Awesome loot this week!!!!!!
Hot audio stack mama
So many good books…where will you start?
