Saturday Snapshot

Our little suburb hosts a big hot air balloon festival every Memorial Day weekend. Needless to say, we’ll see lots of hot air balloons all over the area this weekend. Carl took this photo with his phone a couple of years ago during the event.

Beautiful shot! It’s definitely that time of year – our ballon festival is coming up next month.
We have a balloon fest around the 4th of July. I wonder if the same balloons travel all over the country. That sounds like fun.
I’ve never been up in one. One of our plans this summer is to ride in one. I love these fests, and we sometimes see a lone balloon wafting our way.
Very colourful – we used to see lots at the old house but there are none round here.
A local family has a balloon and they participate in all kinds of festivals/celebrations like this
They brought their balloon to our campus this Spring to give folks a short tethered trip into the sky (only about 10 ft. off the ground) but it was really neat to watch it launch! 
So colorful! Makes for great photos against the blue sky.

The Balloon-A-Fair here is at the end of summer. It’s one of my favorite festivals.

That is such a great shot!! My parents used to live where you could see tons of hot air balloons ascend into the air from the community college grounds and I loved sitting outside watching them peek over the top of the trees!!

What a beautiful photo! Balloons are so colorful and really represent summer. We have a balloon rally for a weekend every July and it’s very popular. Sometimes we get lucky and they fly over our house or land in our field. Hope you had fun and have a wonderful weekend!

We used to see a ton of hot air balloons when we lived outside of Dallas. Gorgeous photo!
This picture reminds me of Buddy in a good way. We don’t get a lot of balloons but in the summer we’d get some going over the house and they freaked him out. He would bark like crazy at them and run around to all the doors. It was cute.
Oh, I love that your town does this! We have hot air balloons close to the theme parks, but nothing like this. I can imagine how excited I would be to walk outside and see something like this. Excellent photo!
