I wish I could read Stephen King (too scary) as he is a great writer and has a way with words that can scare you to pieces…

The Stephen King one looked huge! Then I realised it was an audio! #dumb

  14. January 9, 2012 8:51 am

I can’t wait for your thoughts on the Stephen King book!

  15. January 9, 2012 8:56 am

Sandy was nice enough to let me snag her library copy of the Stephen King book before she returned it so that I could download the CD’s to my ipod, and so that one is waiting for me! I can’t wait to see what I think of it, though I know it’s going to be a tremendous investment. I will be excited to see what you think of it too!

  16. January 9, 2012 8:56 am

Have fun reading the books you got. I haven’t read any Stephen King books, I should read at least one book & see how i like it. :)

    Anyway, happy reading!

  23. January 9, 2012 10:01 am

I don’t like Stephen King at all but everyone is raving about 11/22/63. I think I remember that day too well to be very interested in the book. Even though I realize you have it in audio, it looks daunting.

  24. January 9, 2012 11:29 am

I love the title “Inside Out & Back Again.” It intrigues me.

  25. January 9, 2012 11:49 am

I definitely want to read The Heroine’s Bookshelf! My mom got my dad 11/22/63 for his Nook for Christmas…he’s reading it right now while they’re on a cruise. Totally jealous. :) Happy Reading!

Great mailbox, I want to read all of those! My mom really liked 11/22/63 I hope you do too. I’ve read almost all of Stephen King’s books but I’ve never listened to any. I’m so curious to see what you think!

  29. January 9, 2012 12:33 pm

Wow, that Stephen King book is huge!

  30. January 9, 2012 1:13 pm

I just finished Inside Out & Back Again and REALLY loved it. I’ll post my review on Quirky Girls Read next week. Have a tissue handy.

    Hi Kathy,

I used to be an avid Stephen King reader, although I haven’t read anything of his for a few years now. I guess I just stopped enjoying the books so much. I am not sure that the epic you have secured is the one I should choose to re-kindle my interest, at over 750 pages, although I am very tempted by it.

I thought I had read somewhere that Stephen King was one of the first authors to declare that he would no longer be publishing books in hard copy, but only as e-books? Your book is there as large as life on Amazon, so I guess I must have got that wrong!

A great eclectic mix of genres this week, something to suit every mood, I hope that you enjoy them all.

  32. January 9, 2012 2:15 pm

I loved The Heroine’s Bookshelf! I have a hard cover copy and love to pick it up over and over again. I just looked up Inside Out and Back Again and it looks amazing! I am not a Stephen King fan but his new book intrigues me! I hope you enjoy all of these Kathy!

  33. January 9, 2012 2:48 pm

That audio book is a whopper! Holy moly! I just downloaded it to my ipad and it’s almost 700 pages.

  34. January 9, 2012 2:53 pm

    30 disks? really…30?

sounds like a good e-book to me, nice and light.

  35. January 9, 2012 3:19 pm

Congrats on your contest win! I can’t wait until I get my copy from the hold lists at the library (and then hopefully I like it). :)

  36. January 9, 2012 3:36 pm

Lucky you on winning 11/22/63! I’d love the audio. I have the book so unless my library gets the audio I’m stuck. Enjoy!

  37. January 9, 2012 3:38 pm

How long will it take to listen to Steven King…it looks massive!!!

  38. January 9, 2012 5:39 pm
