Happy Thanksgiving

November 24, 2011

Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers.  I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday filled with family, food, and books.  When Vance was in the 3rd grade, all the 3rd graders at his school presented a Thanksgiving program.  I don’t remember much about it, but it looks like they were turkeys – he’s the one in the middle – and they were none too happy about it.

    Happy Thanksgiving Kathy.

For those not celebrating the US holiday, I found this quote: “Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.”–Edward Sandford Martin

Happy Thanksgiving, dear Kathy. I’m sure it must be a bit strange to be in a hotel room this holiday, but as you know, what really counts is seeing your son. I hope you have a very special time together, and that he gets his full of yummy treats! ;)

Why is it adults always think kids will want to do these things? They look like they just can’t wait to get it over with, and meanwhile all the adults are saying, “Aren’t they cute?” Fun memories. Once again I wish you and your family Happy Thanksgiving.

That is adorable! Nothing like humiliating our kids with some holiday programs, right? These are the best memories I have of my kids when they were little. Hope you have an awesome day with your baby boy.
