Saturday Snapshot
October 29, 2011
This is a photo Carl took while we were in Northern Ireland earlier this year. We were on the coast and it was windy and cold, but also gorgeous and peaceful. I love the contrast of the bright colors against the old stone wall.

The stones in that wall look ancient! I love this photo!
I’ll bet the man who built our stone walls would love to see walls like this one. So beautiful. I love the waterfront villages in Scotland and this reminds me of them.
I love this picture. Would love to go to Ireland sometime.
I sure hope that we can someday visit there.
That is gorgeous! I think the contrast is striking too.
Very pretty. If you hadn’t said cold I would have thought it was a pleasant sunny day. (Cold for me is not pleasant.)
It does look cold-Ireland is so beautiful though.
Look lovely and peaceful. Did you love Ireland?
I agree – the shiny, colorful boats look great against the old stone wall. Great picture!
My Saturday Snapshot
How cool. I want to go
Nice photo. I like the contrast of the old wall and the new(er) boats.
Oh, I am so crazy about photos (and movies set in) Ireland! One of the places I want to visit some day.
My eldest son lived there for a few months and took many gorgeous photos.
Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
I love that stone wall. It just looks like it’s been standing there forever.

The mossy green is what drew my eye first. Very nice shot!
Ireland is on my wishlist of countries to visit. Cool shot.
Very pretty! I bet that stone wall has been there a long long time.
Having done a good deal of my growing up on a boat I like seeing photos of them, love the colors.
Love traveling with you via your photos!! Another beautiful shot!

I so can’t wait to go to Ireland this spring! Great travel shots!
The stone wall is lovely and the boats are lovely…all in all a lovely photo!!!
I’ve only spent a few days in Ireland when we were diverted there last Christmas, but the people were so warm and friendly and the country is gorgeous!
What a wonderful wall. We went to Dublin last year, but would love to see more of Ireland one day.
Great snapshot Kathy! By the way, how did you feel in Northern Ireland? I am planning on visiting Ireland in 2013, but am undecided about whether to try and visit the North too.
Beautiful…Ireland is such a great country for landscapes.
THANKS.
Great photo, I love boating so all boat photos are nostalgic for me
By boating I meant sailing
I like when a picture can appropriately display the climate. I can tell it’s a bit chilly there. Still a beautiful snapshot.
Wonderful photo, Kathy!
That is beautiful!
It is a beautiful picture. The colors are wonderful.
Ireland (sigh). Lucky
Lovely little boat with bright colors ! I like the way they looked !
Makes me want to visit Ireland even more.
Oh … so gorgeous!
Fantastic. It does look peaceful. The colours are wonderful.
Any photo with boats in water is a winner with me! Great shot.
The strong contrast between old and new is the first thing I noticed too. Love it.
That is a gorgeous shot!!!
The old, the new and contrasting colors and the green meadow beyond-wonderful.
I like the contrasting colors in this picture too.
Beautiful! Great shot.

That is such a beautiful picture – one I wouldn’t mind framed for my parents. They love pictures like that.
