I live near a Penguin warehouse which has an annual book sale with super prices. Everyone I know goes, many to buy children’s books for Christmas giving. I haven’t been able to go for several years but I hope to get there this year.

Here I am! 1:00pm, I’m done with the yard and now am making my rounds. I read a book by Elliot Perlman that was so good (looking it up) Seven Types of Amiguity. SO GOOD. Before my blogging days, but it was brilliant. I am excited about that one.

  34. October 24, 2011 1:23 pm

    Hi Kathy,

What’s the secret of getting so many review books from Penguin? Do you have a ‘mole’ inside the company, or an underground tunnel into their warehouse? LOL

Such a diverse range of genres and storylines, I wouldn’t know where to start first.

The only book amongst your haul that I wouldn’t be rushing to read would probably be Jamie Oliver. I am really not into cookery books at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love food and eating, but can’t really be bothered about cooking anything fancy just for the two of us at home.

Look forward to some great reviews from that load of books.

  35. October 24, 2011 1:29 pm

I have some serious mailbox envy right about now. Looking forward to seeing what you think!

  36. October 24, 2011 1:31 pm

Wow, that’s a full mailbox. Ah, which to read first? Enjoy your new additions

  37. October 24, 2011 1:38 pm

I have only heard of 1 from your list, how ridiculous is that :-) Enjoy

  38. October 24, 2011 1:43 pm

  52. October 24, 2011 7:16 pm

I should clarify that….I should say “envious” instead of “amazed” that you can get all of them read and reviewed:)

  53. October 24, 2011 8:31 pm

India Becoming has me curious. I need to check that one – I haven’t heard of it before, but the premise is interesting. Enjoy your books.

The few times I caught Jamie’s show I was excited by what he was trying to do. I hope his enthusiasm comes through in the book.
