Saturday Snapshot
October 15, 2011
Back in 2008, my sister, Karen, and a childhood friend of ours visited us at the same time. We stayed busy and did lots of things, but I think the highlight of their visit was our trip to Asheville. Here we are posing in front of Biltmore. From left to right it’s me, Debbie and Karen.
Saturday Snapshot is hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. It’s easy to participate – just post a picture that was taken by you, a friend, or a family member and add your link on Alyce’s site.

I’ve been wanting to go here. It’s such a gorgeous place. Have you seen the Biltmore in Miami?
You guys look so happy, and that background is amazing! Wonderful photo today, Kathy!
Kathy, that looks so fun! I’d love to visit the Biltmore sometime. You guys make a fun-looking trio, just looking for something to get into. LOL
Great picture! I can tell Karen is your sister!
That’s one place I’ve always wanted to visit!
What a beautiful setting and I’ll bet there was lots of laughing during the visit!
Ohh what a beautiful day you had, too! I was there about 15 years ago and it was miserable and rainy out.
Looks like you had a beautiful day for a visit. Biltmore is fantastic! I hope you three enjoyed your visit as much as we did.
Great picture! You look like a fun bunch!
I have a friend who just started selling for Biltomore inspirations. Up until recently I had never heard of Biltmore.
Looks like a fun trip!
On my list of places to see ‘someday’. Nice pic, Kathy.
Terrific place for a girls’ day out. My girlfriend’s sister lives in Asheville and works at the gift shop at the Biltmore Estate. I’m just itching to see that mansion.
I love Biltomore. My mom and I visited several years ago during spring break. I would love to go back during the Christmas holdays.
We just love Asheville…may be a future home for us…who knows…love the photo…visits with your girls are always fun…
Oh awesome! My parents just went to the Biltmore for the first time, this summer and had such a great time!
Wow. That’s some house! I knew the Biltmore was big, but didn’t realize how big. Glad you had a good time!

Wow, that’s quite a mansion. It kind of has a fairy tale look to it.
A friend of mine just got back from a trip that included Biltmore. She was gushing.
The picture is perfrct. Happy friends, lovely place, beautiful day.
Wow that was a memorable trip for sure.
Smiles all around – that must have been a fun trip!
Wow, pretty impressive. Great photo of the 3 of you as well.
We have The Biltmore of Providence, RI – very very nice but it’s downtown so certainly not expansive like this.

Asheville is high on my list of places to visit. This looks like a gorgeous sunny day spent with good friends!
How lovely! I’ve been completely ignorant of the location of the Biltmore.
This looks quite lovely.
What a beautiful place! Thank you for sharing, Kathy.
Next time you come to Asheville, we should meet. I love the Biltmore House. Nice photo.
I’ve always wanted to visit there! Some day!
I so want to visit there. Me and my friends have been talking about it for a while, but nothing has panned out yet. Love the picture.
What a great memory and picture!
I think everyone I know seems to go to Asheville! At first glance I thought you’d posted a picture from Europe- it has that feel.
how beautiful! Before I read the caption I thought you had visited Europe as well. That house…yowsa!
I would love to visit Biltmore one of these days. I bet the three of you had a great time.
