Mailbox Monday
September 26, 2011
Another week has flown by, and it’s time to take peek in my mailbox again. My mailbox was pretty busy last week, but most of the books that came were unsolicited. Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted by Leah of Amused by Books this month. Here’s what I found in my mailbox last week:
Monday:
- The Hypnotist by M. J. Rose came from Amazon but I didn’t order it. Thanks to whoever did!
- Cutie Pies by Dani Cone came from Andrews McMeel Publishing
Tuesday
- I Love Meatballs! by Rick Rodgers came from Andrews McMeel Publishing
Wednesday
- The Magnificent Medills by Megan McKinney came from Harper Collins
Thursday
- Father-Mucker by Greg Olear came from Harper Collins
- Falling for Me by Anna David came from Harper Collins
Friday
- Sugar, Sugar by Kimberly “Momma” Reiner and Jenna Sanz-Agero came from Andrews McMeel Publishing
- Remember Me by Cheryl Robinson was a win from The Well-Read Wife
Saturday
- So Sweet! by Sur La Table came from Andrews McMeel Publishing

Wow! That is a great pile of books
I hope you enjoy your week
Thats a huge pile. I do hope you enjoy them all.
Enjoy all your new reads! I haven’t read any of these.
You have a wonderful pile there. Fathermucker has caught my eye – I like that quirky typo-like name!
Big stack Kathy. All new to me; enjoy
Nice group of books. I hope you enjoy them all. I liked The Hypnotist…
What Mailbox books are making me hungry
The M.J. Rose one appeals to me. I have been meaning to read the first one by this author for ages.
Wow! What a great pile of books. I received Falling For Me, too. Can’t wait to read it and also looking forward to your thoughts on it. Enjoy your new books
Kathy you had another great book week and I see we got some of the same cook books. I can’t wait to see what you will make from them Enjoy and happy eating
How nice to get a surprise from Amazon – and it’s a really good one. TBG and I liked The Hypnotist. Have a great week, Kathy, and enjoy all your new books.
That MJ Rose book is really making the rounds out there. Looking forward to your thoughts on it!
Yay to all those cookbooks.
Great looking mailbox!
It’s kind of fun getting an unexpected book, isn’t it? That’s happened to me a couple of times…from publishers.
Hope you enjoy them all. I think I’m really curious about Falling for Me.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
I also got Father Mucker and am going to be reading it for a tour coming up. A lot of these look new to me, and I am curious about them. Will have to check out your reviews on them and see what I think!
Great stack of books! Enjoy all your new reads.
I’m wondering what Sugar, Sugar is about
For the life of me I can’t figure out how you get so many awesome books! In my mailbox this week – absolutely nothing! I would love to see a picture of your bookshelves!
I have The Hypnotist, which I still need to read, but the others are all new to me.
Wow! You won’t run out of reading materials anytime soon.
Isn’t it fun getting surprises like that? I have the first 2 books by M. J. Rose but haven’t read those yet. Hope you enjoy this one! The Magnificent Medills sounds interesting. Enjoy!
I Love Meatballs? What a great title!
I love meatballs so that book sounds wonderful. There is so much you can do with them! Enjoy all your new reads including your surprise book!
A great mailbox, a terrific week of reading ahead, enjoy them.

Not a huge fan of M.J. Rose but I’m the minority. Her stuff reads alot like DaVinci Code. Anyway, I’m sitting here and thinking that one day I really want to see your book storage. You must have a cavern of bookshelves because you get a stack like this every week!
Sugar Sugar caught my eye because I loved this song by the Archies. I doubt it has anything to do with the song or the comic characters, but I am still curious about it.
So reading many of those titles has me hungry! October seems to be the month of food books!
You sure got a lot of interesting books in your mailbox last week!!
Here’s Mine
I hope you’ll enjoy The Magnificent Medills. I read and reviewed it recently. You’ve never heard of such characters as the Medill family spawned, especially Cissy Patterson. It’s a good story.
M.J. Rose’s her books don’t remind me of DaVinci at all but rather Katherine Neville’s The Eight, or The Historian by Kostova, or Kate Mosse’s Labryinth.
What a great stack. Enjoy!
AWESOME stack this week Kathy! I saw “Father-mucker” on the Library Thing site last night and honestly my first thought was I wanted to read it just for the provocative title alone. I’m ALWAYS carrying a book with me it seems and I love to carry one with a provocative title or cover
So many books, so little time. The titles make me think I need a snack too!
Enjoy your new books
Man, you have some seriously good reading ahead if you. Enjoy!!
As usual…an awesome tidy stack of books…looks like you might be baking up a storm, soon!!!
Another great mailbox! I can’t wait to see what you think of them all.
Enjoy your new books Kathy. You always have the best stack!
Have died and gone to book heaven! WOW love the selection here… book heaven
Nice mix of books this week! I hope you enjoy them. I Love Meatballs! Great title.
Those look like some really great titles!!! Enjoy!!
i DO love meatballs! LOL
enjoy!
Enjoy your new books Kathy! I will looking forward to some of these reviews!
Looks like a bunch of fun cute books! Enjoy them!
Oh wow, what a great selection you got this week! Enjoy your new books!
Nice mix of books – most are new to me so I hope you love them!
Lots of books this week. I just always get caught up in the Fathermucker title!
I had the NetGalleys of a bunch of those cookbooks; most of them looked good. Hope you enjoy them.
I’m on a cookbook kick here so lots of these titles appeal to me! Hope to see some features and reviews in conjunction with Candace’s Weekend Cooking!
Those cookbooks made me hungry! I hope you enjoy exploring new recipes.
Father-Mucker is just one of my favorite titles ever! I should probably start using it in front of Gage
I Love Meatballs too!
You certainly had a great week in books and a surprise from Amazon on top of it all. Happy reading!
Another great load of books. I can’t even remember what I got last week but it wasn’t much. I have to get rid of some of the piles I have before I get more. Lol.
oooooh….nice stack of books here.
An entire cookbook devoted to meatballs?! I’m going to have to check that out (and, yes, PIES!).
Greg Olear is so funny, I think you’ll enjoy FATHERMUCKER.
You have a bit of a food theme going on with the titles! They look good!
Awesome stack of books! Enjoy.
I also got The Hypnotist, which looks terrific. The one I’m most excited about is the new Neal Stephenson – REAMDE. It looks amazing, but it’s almost 1,100 pages! I’m going to need a month to get through it!
You got some great books! I look forward to hearing more about them.
Must. HAVE. Cutie Pies! I want.
I think I will have to do a monthly review of new books in the house; I actually think I could like more than one.
I mean LIST. I could list more than one. OF COURSE I *like* them. silly me…
Great stash of books! I hope you enjoy them.
