Another week has flown by, and it’s time to take peek in my mailbox again.  My mailbox was pretty busy last week, but most of the books that came were unsolicited.  Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of  A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted by Leah of Amused by Books this month.    Here’s what I found in my mailbox last week:

  15. September 26, 2011 9:01 am

It’s kind of fun getting an unexpected book, isn’t it? That’s happened to me a couple of times…from publishers.

Hope you enjoy them all. I think I’m really curious about Falling for Me.

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

  16. September 26, 2011 9:20 am

I also got Father Mucker and am going to be reading it for a tour coming up. A lot of these look new to me, and I am curious about them. Will have to check out your reviews on them and see what I think!

  20. September 26, 2011 11:02 am

Wow! You won’t run out of reading materials anytime soon. :)

  22. September 26, 2011 12:03 pm

Isn’t it fun getting surprises like that? I have the first 2 books by M. J. Rose but haven’t read those yet. Hope you enjoy this one! The Magnificent Medills sounds interesting. Enjoy!

  23. September 26, 2011 12:07 pm

I Love Meatballs? What a great title!

Not a huge fan of M.J. Rose but I’m the minority. Her stuff reads alot like DaVinci Code. Anyway, I’m sitting here and thinking that one day I really want to see your book storage. You must have a cavern of bookshelves because you get a stack like this every week!

  27. September 26, 2011 1:03 pm

Sugar Sugar caught my eye because I loved this song by the Archies. I doubt it has anything to do with the song or the comic characters, but I am still curious about it.

  28. September 26, 2011 1:09 pm

So reading many of those titles has me hungry! October seems to be the month of food books!

  29. September 26, 2011 1:14 pm

You sure got a lot of interesting books in your mailbox last week!!
    Here’s Mine

  30. September 26, 2011 1:17 pm

I hope you’ll enjoy The Magnificent Medills. I read and reviewed it recently. You’ve never heard of such characters as the Medill family spawned, especially Cissy Patterson. It’s a good story.

M.J. Rose’s her books don’t remind me of DaVinci at all but rather Katherine Neville’s The Eight, or The Historian by Kostova, or Kate Mosse’s Labryinth.

  32. September 26, 2011 1:42 pm

    What a great stack. Enjoy!

  33. September 26, 2011 1:56 pm

AWESOME stack this week Kathy! I saw “Father-mucker” on the Library Thing site last night and honestly my first thought was I wanted to read it just for the provocative title alone. I’m ALWAYS carrying a book with me it seems and I love to carry one with a provocative title or cover ;)

  34. September 26, 2011 2:47 pm

So many books, so little time. The titles make me think I need a snack too!

    I Love Meatballs too!

  54. September 27, 2011 7:17 am

You certainly had a great week in books and a surprise from Amazon on top of it all. Happy reading!

  55. September 27, 2011 10:52 am

Another great load of books. I can’t even remember what I got last week but it wasn’t much. I have to get rid of some of the piles I have before I get more. Lol.

    oooooh….nice stack of books here.

  57. September 27, 2011 3:36 pm

An entire cookbook devoted to meatballs?! I’m going to have to check that out (and, yes, PIES!).

Greg Olear is so funny, I think you’ll enjoy FATHERMUCKER.

    Awesome stack of books! Enjoy.

  60. September 27, 2011 11:41 pm

I also got The Hypnotist, which looks terrific. The one I’m most excited about is the new Neal Stephenson – REAMDE. It looks amazing, but it’s almost 1,100 pages! I’m going to need a month to get through it!

  61. September 28, 2011 11:01 am

You got some great books! I look forward to hearing more about them.

  62. September 28, 2011 2:30 pm

Must. HAVE. Cutie Pies! I want.

I think I will have to do a monthly review of new books in the house; I actually think I could like more than one.

  63. September 28, 2011 2:30 pm

I mean LIST. I could list more than one. OF COURSE I *like* them. silly me…
