Mailbox Monday
May 30, 2011
Wow, another month has come and gone and here it is Memorial Day already. I hope everyone has a safe and fun holiday. This has been a busy month for me and June promises to be even busier, but it’s all good, so I’m not complaining. Since it’s Monday, it’s time to take a peek in my mailbox! Mailbox Monday was created by Marcia of A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted by Mari of MariReads this month. Here’s what showed up in my mailbox last week:
Tuesday
- Don’t Kill the Birthday Girl by Sandra Beasley came from Crown Publishers
Wednesday
- LEGO Harry Potter Building the Magical World by Elizabeth Dowset and Ultimate Sticker book was a Twitter win from DK Publishing
- The Upright Piano Player by David Abbot came from Doubleday
- Promises to Keep by Jane Green came from Penguin
Thursday
- Skinny by Diana Spechler came from the author
Saturday
- Best Kept Secret by Amy Hatvany was a Twitter win from Atria Books
Did you get any new books last week?

The Upright Piano Player by David Abbot and Best Kept Secret sound great!
Happy Reading
Nice mailbox, Kathy! Amy Hatvany will be a featured author on Brava when her book launches. Happy Memorial Day, girlfriend!
I have a copy of SKINNY to read soon and I also got DON’T KILL THE BIRTHDAY GIRL. That one sounds really interesting. Enjoy your books, Kathy!
I also got Don’t Kill the Birthday Girl, and am really curious based on what I have heard about it. I think it’s not only supposed to be a story, but also that it’s filled with helpful tips about how to deal with those who have allergies. Should be very interesting. Great stack there, Kathy!
Great stack! I put in for Don’t Kill the Birthday Girl on Goodreads – we’ll see if I get it.
Great books in your mailbox! I’m looking forward to reading Best Kept Secret. I hope you enjoy them all.
Promises to Keep is great – although keep the tissues close at hand because it is a tearjerker! Enjoy!

the HP lego kit looks like fun! i did score a few books this week, but still didn’t receive a cookbook i’ve been waiting (rather impatiently) for so i was a bit bummed. i can’t wait to see the goodies you reaped while in new york. one year i’m going to actually make it over the river and meet you guys in person!
The Harry Potter Lego kit is just plain cool. I so want to get ahold of that. Have a great week.

This looks pretty small considering you just got back from BEA
Can’t wait to see your haul from there . I’ve already read about your party crashing and I’m interested in reading about your side of the story!
