Challenge wrap-ups

September 11, 2010

I’m thrilled to say that I completed two more challenges!

I signed up for the Polliwog Level of the EW Summer Books Challenge which was hosted by Julie  Booking Mama.  The Polliwog Level required reading 1 to 3 books and I managed to read 2 – So Cold the River by Michael Koryta and Red Hook Road by Ayelet Waldman.  I have to tell you, EW got it right with both of these books.  I thought they were both fantastic!

For the Debutant Ball 2010 Reading Challenge, hosted by Jen of Devourer of Books and Swapna of S. Krishna’s Books, I signed up to read 1 of the current Debs’ books and 2 of the past Debs’ books.  I read The Opposite of Me by Sarah Pekkanen for the Current Deb’s book and The Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker and The Life You’ve Imagined by Kristina Riggle (review to come) for the past Debs’ books.

Good job with the challenges. I am doing the Debs challenge and I signed up for the same levels you did. I have read 2 books by old debs but still need to read 1 book by a current deb.

Congratulations on completing the challenges! I’m looking forward to reading Red Hook Road. I just got a subscription to EW through my son’s magazine school drive. It sounds like they feature some great new books.
