If you’re not familiar with The Spotlight on Bookstores feature on She Is Too Fond of Books, you should be!   A recent post came to the attention of someone at The Discovery Channel and it resulted in a fun hedgehog party at The Spirit of ’76 bookstore in Marblehead, MA.  While I’m sure that my post won’t garner that kind of excitement, you can go here to  find out why I think upstate South Carolina’s newest independent bookstore is special.

I really liked your post and that bookstore sounds like heaven to me. I love that they solicit reviews from customers…have you submitted any?

Thanks so much for your Spotlight post, Kathy! Hey, you never know, maybe there’s a documentary crew looking for cool new uses of Masonic temples : ) (I encourage everyone to click over to the store site from Kathy’s Spotlight post; you’ll see the facade of the building – imposing!)

Seems to be that independent bookstores are on the cutting edge. It’s how they stay in business. Yay for independents!

Very cool, Kathy! I’ve never heard of a non profit bookstore- what a great idea! Looks like you have a new place to hang out :)
