Author event and giveaway: lunch with Karen White
I had the opportunity to meet Karen White at a Book Your Lunch event and let me tell you, she is like Wonder Woman! Besides writing two books a year, she’s a wife and the mother of two teen-agers. She is currently working on one book, touring for another and preparing for her daughter’s high school graduation on May 22. I don’t know how she does it all.
Talking with Karen was like talking to an old friend – she’s very personable and chatted with guests about everything from kids, schools, writing, traffic, housework, book clubs and of course, books! I was amazed at how much reading she does! She did mention that she listens to audio books in her car.
Here’s what she had to say before we dug into our delicious lunch:
Karen’s newest book, On Folly Beach (my review), was published in trade paperback on May 4 and I bought an extra copy and had it autographed for one lucky reader.
