BBAW: Giveaway #5
It’s Book Blogger Appreciation Week, and oh, what a week it’s been! The theme of this year’s event is “Celebrate Books,” and, in keeping with that theme, I’m having a giveaway every day this week. Today’s the day that Oprah announced her next book club pick and it is Say You’re One of Them by Uwem Akpan. You know there’ll be a lot of buzz about this book! Thanks to Miriam at Hachette Books, I’m able to give a copy away to one lucky reader.

I think this sounds wonderful. Strength in What Remains also about the Hutu/Tutsi conflicts was somewhat challenging too but the story is so important that I feel like I have to keep reading. I’m just so saddened when I reflect about these things happening in this day and time with so much access to information.
Well I’ll be darned! I’m intrigued she would pick such a book for her list. I am very happy for the author though. His life will never be the same. No need to enter me, I’ve read it!
