One of the blogs I read regularly is Bloody Hell, It’s a Book Barrage! Chartroose usually makes me laugh and brightens my day. Occassionally, Surfer Dude makes a guest appearance on her blog, describing a book in surfer lingo. Usually, I have no idea what he’s talking about, but that’s okay, because he’s fun to look at. Recently, I knew the answer and was lucky enough to win a gift certificate to Uncommon Goods! Since they don’t carry books, I was able to indulge in my other extravagance – dishes. I ordered the bowl pictured here and it came this week. I just love it! If you’ve never been to Chartroose’s web site, you definitely need to check it out.

I think the idea of surfer dude lingo is fantastic. I will have to check out this site. I’m glad you got another dish for your collection…I like it.

What a great dish! I would love to collect that sort of thing, but with two boys, two cats, and a dog..all perishables are kept under lock and key!

Oh what a cool bowl! I love dishes too – as much as I love a nice setting, I’ve always wanted to have a big cupboard filled with mismatched pieces picked especially for their uniqueness.
